Proposed Temporary Road Closures

PROPOSED TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PORTION OF BABAKIN CORRIGIN ROAD, LARKE CRESCENT, DAVIES ROAD AND HILL STREET, CORRIGIN

Notice is hereby given of the proposed temporary closure of sections of the following roads:

  • Babakin–Corrigin Road will be closed between Heal Road and Drywell Road. A detour will be in place via Heal Road, Corrigin–Bruce Rock Road, and Brookton Highway to access the
  • Larke Crescent will be closed between Kirkwood Street and Lynch
  • Davies Street and Hill Street will be closed between Lynch Street and Goyder Street.

Advanced signage will be in place, with marshals monitoring traffic on Lake Crescent, Kirkwood Street, Crossland Street, Lynch Street, McAndrew Avenue, Murphy Street, and Hill Street.

Jose Street will remain open, with marshals stationed at the corner of Lynch Street and Kirkwood Street to assist traffic flow from one end of town to the other. Please use this route with caution.

These closures will be in effect from 12:00pm to 6:00pm on Saturday, 28 March 2026. Every effort will be made to reopen roads as soon as possible should the event conclude earlier.

Emergency service vehicles are exempt from these closures.

The purpose of these temporary closures is to allow competitors to safely participate in the Corrigin Triathlon.

Submissions and comments must be in writing and lodged with Regan Chester by 4:00pm Thursday 26 March 2026 and can be emailed to ao@corrigin.wa.gov.au, or sent via post to PO Box 221 Corrigin WA 6375 or submitted in person at the Administration Office, 9 Lynch Street Corrigin.
