The next Local Government Election will take place on Saturday 19th October 2019
If you want to make a difference in Corrigin and have your say in local decision making, then consider standing for election. Councillors play an important leadership role within the community to resolve decisions that Council makes about what happens locally.
SHIRE OF CORRIGIN VACANCIES - Three (3) Vacancies, 4-year term
NOMINATING FOR COUNCIL - To be eligible to run for Council you must:
- Be 18 years or older
- An elector of the district
- Complete a nomination form
- Submit a candidate profile of 150 words or less
- Pay a nomination deposit of $80
- Include a recent passport size photograph (optional).
NOMINATIONS OPEN: Thursday 5th September 2019
NOMINATIONS CLOSE: 4pm, Thursday 12th September 2019
ONLINE CANDIDATE INDUCTION - Prior to nominating in the 2019 local government general elections, all candidates will be required to complete the online candidate induction, available on the website www.dlgsc.wa.gov.au/local-government/local-governments/council-elections/local-government-candidate-induction
