EMERGENCY EVACUATION FIELD EXERCISE IN CORRIGIN

The Department of Communities were in Corrigin recently to run a Welfare Evacuation Centre Field Exercise. This was an ideal opportunity for emergency services and local governments to get together to exercise their arrangements, in the event of an emergency or disaster, with participants from the Shire’s of Corrigin, Narembeen and Bruce Rock attending. The Department of Communities are responsible for managing Welfare Evacuation Centres in case of emergencies and providing welfare support, assisted by organisations such as, St John Ambulance, Police, Local Government and Red Cross.
