The provision of Waste Services to the Corrigin District

including kerbside pickups and transfer stations, costs Council

in excess of $210,000 each year. Council is committed to

ensuring that the gap between rubbish fees and charges and

expenditure is reduced and therefore has applied a $50

increase to Rubbish Services for 2016-2017. While a gap is

still applicable, Council believes that it is a good balance

between fee for services and general rate payer contributions.

FEES AND C

H

ARGES

In addition to adoption of the Annual Budget, Council has also

adopted the 2016-2017 Fees & Charges. Council has been

mindful in ensuring that the Fees & Charges are reasonable

and affordable while also aiming to achieve cost recovery.
