Shire of Corrigin Animal, Environment

and Nuisance Local Law 2016

The Shire of Corrigin has adopted the Animal,

Environment and Nuisance Local Law 2016. The

purpose of this Local Law is to provide for the

regulation, control & management of animals and

the preservation of environmental damage and

nuisances within the District. The effect of this

Local Law is to establish the requirements with

which any person keeping animals, or undertaking

activities that have the potential to impact the

environment or create nuisance must comply.

may be inspected at, or obtained from, the Shire

of Corrigin office and are available on the website.

Vandalism at

Miss B’s Park

On Tuesday 23

rd

August reticulation

pipe and sprinklers were ripped out the

ground of the garden beds at Miss B’s

Park, along the Campbell Street wall.

Established plants and shrubs were

damaged, branches broken off and

plants pulled out of the ground. The

Male toilet sign was snapped and pulled

off the door. The cost of replacing the

reticulation, plants and signage is

estimated at $1,500 and the Shire’s time

to complete these repairs.

If anyone sighted anything on Tuesday

August, or has any information

regarding this vandalism, call Corrigin

Police on 9063 2200.

The Shire of Corrigin will be reporting

all acts of vandalism to Council

property, as it’s costly to our

ratepayers. If you can assist in

identifying any offenders, please

contact the Corrigin Police.
