The Shire of Corrigin has received funding in part,

for up to 4 aged persons dwellings from the next

financial year. Nine local governments in the

Wheatbelt South region formed an

‘Aged Housing Project Alliance’

and together prepared a business

case to support their Royalties for Regions funding

application for aged persons, independent living

units. The local governments involved include;

Corrigin, Cuballing, Kondinin, Kulin, Narembeen,

Narrogin, Wandering, Wickepin and the Town of

Narrogin.

This funding will help older residents in the

Wheatbelt remain close to home, as they age in

their local communities, with funding support for

age-appropriate housing.
