The Shire of Corrigin’s Chief Executive Officer Rob Paull has announced his resignation to take up a new appointment as CEO of the Shire of Ashburton, commencing January 2018.

Shire President Cr Lynette Baker said “Mr Paull’s appointment to the Shire of Ashburton reflects his standing in the local government’s industry as Ashburton has over 200 staff, a budget nearing $80m and a number of multi-million dollar community developments to complete. Our loss is certainly Shire of Ashburton’s gain and I wish Mr Paull and his wife Frances all the best in their future“.

“Council looks forward to the challenge of recruiting a new CEO. Corrigin is a welcoming community which caters for residents from birth to very old age with fantastic medical facilities, including a District Hospital. We have a modern recreation centre complete with an indoor court along with a swimming pool, including a hydrotherapy pool. There are many voluntary organisations and very well-run sporting clubs. I believe that we will have no trouble in finding the right person to fill this most important position” said Cr Baker.

The recruitment process is to begin on 17 October 2017 when Council considers the selection of a suitable recruitment company and once determined, it is likely to take up to 10 weeks with the successful applicant expected to start at the Shire of Corrigin in early 2018.
